Eligibility Audiobooks with exclusive or non-exclusive distribution are eligible for pre-order. - Your audiobook must be complete — all audio files, cover art, and metadata must be uploaded and pass quality checks before a pre-order can go live. (Partial/placeholder pre-orders are not supported.) Date Requirements The pre-order start date must be at least 72 hours before the release (fulfillment) date. - The release date can be up to 2 years in the future. Once set, dates are locked within 72 hours of the scheduled date and can no longer be changed. Within this window the date is final. How do I set a pre-order for my ACX audiobook? You choose your pre-order and release dates as part of your title setup — on the Distribution page, alongside your metadata and audio uploads. Log in to your ACX account. On the Distribution page for your title, select your release preference: Immediate release, Pre-order release, or Scheduled pre-order release. Choose your pre-order start date and/or release date. Complete the rest of your title setup (metadata, audio files, cover art). Submit your title for publishing. Your pre-order will go live once your title passes the quality review. If your audio or metadata does not pass, your pre-order will not be activated until the issues are resolved and you resubmit. Can I change my pre-order dates? More than 72 hours before the scheduled date: You can change dates directly in the portal. Within 72 hours of the scheduled date: Dates are locked and final. They can no longer be changed — in the portal or by support. Note: Promo codes are not redeemable during the pre-order period.
