TitleSuggested priceURL Namesuggested-priceAnswer This article provides an overview of suggested pricing on ACX for those enrolled in Audible’s new royalty model. Starting May 26th, 2026, newly claimed titles and new users will be on Audible’s new royalty model. How does your “suggested price” work on ACX? You can use the suggested price tool within the ACX experience for any new title being published, or existing title already enrolled, on the new royalty model. This feature allows you to suggest a price for your audiobook by entering the amount at which you'd like to sell your audiobook on Audible across all marketplaces. Audible determines your title's price and reserves the right to adjust it at any time based on multiple factors. Your suggested price is one factor we consider. The price at which we sell your title may not always match your suggested price. For instance, we might sell your title at a lower price during a sale or promotion, or to match a third party's price. Do I have to suggest a price for all of my titles? No. The suggested price feature is optional. Can I find out what retail prices similar titles carry at Audible? Audible considers a variety of inputs when independently determining a title’s price, including but not only the length of the title. While the actual price of a work will vary depending on our determination of these inputs for any given title, retail prices on Audible for titles with the below runtime ranges have been within the following price ranges: Under 1 hour: under $7.40 1 - 3 hours: $5.55-$13.20 3 - 5 hours: $7.55-$15.55 5 - 10 hours: $11.15-$20.65 10 - 20 hours: $12.95-$24.90 Over 20 hours: $16.40-$32.95 Can I change the suggested price after my audiobook is published? Yes, you can update the suggested price for your audiobook 24 hours after publishing. You may not change your suggested price value more than once every 24 hours. How do I update the suggested price for a title enrolled in the new royalty model? In your ACX dashboard, go to My projects. Go to the Completed tab. Select the title you’d like to update and make sure it is enrolled in the new royalty model. From the title page, select Edit audiobook. Select Make changes from the pop-up that appears (the QA changes you're reminded of at this step do not apply if you're only suggesting price). On the title details page, select Edit retail information. If you see an alert to resolve issues, proceed to Edit retail information to resolve any issues and/or suggest price. In the suggested price section, input your preferred price. Select Save changes. After saving changes, you will be prompted to Publish from the title page. Note: You must first enroll a title in the new royalty model in order to see the suggested price section under Edit retail information. Are the price ranges different for exclusive vs non-exclusive titles? No. How does the price I suggest affect my royalties? The price at which we sell your title may not always be the same as your suggested price, which is a list price. For instance, we might sell your title at a lower price in the event of a sale or promotion, or to match a third party's price for your title. Or, we might update our pricing policy, which in turn could impact the retail pricing (also referred to as a la carte pricing). The retail price is relevant when 1) determining royalties from cash a la carte purchases and 2) determining royalties from Audible’s membership offering under the new model in the event an Audible member listens to multiple titles during the month. In this case, total Member Value is divided proportionally by each title the member engaged with, based on the a la carte price of those titles. This step ensures a fair share of Member Value is tied to each title before multiplying by your contractual royalty rate to calculate the royalties due. Why don’t I see the price I suggested in ACX on Audible or Amazon? We reserve the right to set the retail price for titles you publish with us, which may be different than your suggested price, which is a list price. Keep in mind that you set the list price of your work, while the price on the detail page and any discounts are set at the discretion of Audible, and are subject to change based on factors like promotions, competitive match or Audible’s provided list price ranges, with the goal to provide the best price for customers and optimize sales of your titles. How does Audible determine the price for my titles? Audible’s prices are now set using a standardized model that ensures Audible remains a compelling destination for listeners based on multiple title characteristics, including, but not limited to runtime and genre. We have updated our pricing model and may continue to update the price from time to time to ensure your title has the most effective price to drive additional sales and find new listeners. What should I do if I see that my current retail price is priced higher than the price range provided by Audible’s suggest price feature? The price range reflects retail prices on Audible for titles with similar characteristics to your title. It is available for you as a guideline. The suggested price feature does not prevent you from suggesting a price outside the price range or from leaving the suggested price field blank, as this feature is optional.
