ACX narrators can find work by auditioning for projects on ACX. You can find all the ACX titles accepting auditions by creating your producer profile.

How can I audition for an ACX title?

To perform an ACX audition, follow these steps:

1. Sign in to your ACX account.
2. From the navigation menu, select Search Marketplace.
3. Select Find Projects. You can find a suitable project by adjusting the filter options to locate a project that aligns to your criteria or by searching for a keyword.
4. Select Audition to learn more about the title.
5. From the Audition page, you can also download an audition script and upload your audition file. 

How do I find the audition script in my ACX account?

When viewing any title that is accepting auditions, the audition script will be located within the Auditions tab. You will either see a typed script or a link to download the provided audition script. To view the audition script, follow these steps:

1. Sign in to your ACX account.
2. In the navigation menu, select Find Projects.
3. Locate or search for a title for which you’d like to audition, then select Audition.
4. Scroll and select Download audition script.
5. When your mp3 file is ready, select Upload file, then select Submit audition to complete your audition.

Note: If the rights holder uploaded the full manuscript by mistake, select a 3-5 minutes segment, preferably a compelling section of the script that can really show your vocal versatility. You may also reach out to the rights holder to ask which section they would prefer you to narrate. 

How do I avoid seeing auditions for explicit content?

1. Sign in to your ACX account.
2. Select your profile icon, then select Edit Profile.
3. Scroll to the Genre preferences section and check the box next to Exclude Erotica.
4. Select Save Changes. 

What does ‘offer pending’ mean?

A book marked with an orange 'offer pending' flag means another producer has received an offer to create the audiobook. You can still audition for these titles, but consider the pending status before recording. Feel free to message the rights holder before you audition. 

How do I upload auditions for ACX projects?

To submit an audition for a project you've found on ACX, follow these steps:

1. Sign in to your ACX account.
2. In the navigation menu, select Search marketplace.
3. Select Find projects.
4. Search by keyword or use the filters in the right menu to narrow down search for an open project.
5. From the search results, select Audition next to the title for which you'd like to audition.
6. On the title profile page look for the audition script and when ready, select Upload file.
7. On the upload page, select Browse and select the file you wish to upload.
8. Add a message in the message box if you wish, then select Submit Audition. 

How do I remove/delete an audition I submitted?

To delete an audition that has been submitted on a title open for audition, follow these steps:

1. While logged into your ACX.com producer account, select Projects at the top of the page.
2. Select Auditions tab.
3. Select View my audition in the right hand column next to the title of the book.
4. Select Delete Audition located below the submitted date.
5. Select Yes when prompted to confirm.
