After you or your rights holder have approved the audiobook, the project will be reviewed by our audio team who will check to ensure the book meets ACX audio submission requirements. The quality assurance review can take up to 10 business days to process your audiobook project and conduct testing. If they find any errors, they will reach out directly to both the producer and rights holder.

Note: if any issues are found during this process, you or your Rights holder will receive a message and an email from our quality assurance team. Once you make the appropriate changes and resubmit, the 10 business days review time frame will begin again from the date of re-submission.

When will my audiobook be available for sale?

Titles that comply with the ACX audiobook submission requirements, that pass the quality assurance review, and are submitted for sale will be posted for retail on Audible and Amazon within 10 business days, and on Apple Books within 2 business days.

Note: Please contact us if the quality assurance review is taking more than 10 business days.

How do I check the quality assurance review status of my ACX audiobook?

You can see the current quality assurance review (QA) status of your title on the ACX website.

1. Sign in to your ACX account.
2. Select the In production tab, locate and select your title.

There you will see the book in 1 of 4 possible Review stages:

• Metadata review
• Image review
• Audio review
• Final verification

You can also go to your Completed Projects tab and use the filters to view only titles in the Publishing, In Review, or Live stage. 

How can I review the notification from quality assurance about my audiobook quality review? 

Once the quality assurance process is complete, the quality assurance team will notify you via email and at your ACX message center inbox. Please ensure you have opted in to receive email notifications in order to receive updates from quality assurance.

To update your email notification preferences, follow these steps:

1. Sign in to your ACX account.
2. Go to Account Settings.
3. Select the Notifications tab to view your Email notifications options.
4. Make sure notifications are turned on for Production updates and Change requests.

Note: if your title is currently pending quality assurance approval, making changes means your title will re-enter the review queue, restarting the 10 business days processing time.
