How do I search for a producer? To search for a producer, please follow the steps below: Log in to ACX.com.Select Find Talent.Use the available filters or search by keyword to locate a narrator.Select the Play button to listen to a sample and use the Envelope icon to send them a message. You may also select the producer's name or View profile icon to learn more about them, send them a message, or make an offer. From a producer's ACX profile page, simply select Send Message and write them a note. Include a link to your title profile, which should contain a one or two-page audition script you want narrators to read and record. You can ask as many producers as you'd like to audition for your audiobook. In fact, we advise you to make an offer to a producer only after you hear an audition from the actual book you want them to record. To learn more about setting up an audition visit Get audiobook auditions. Is it possible to hire more than one narrator for my audiobook? At this time, ACX contracts can only support one rights holder and one producer. You may search for a producer or studio that works with a roster of narrators and can supply voices for multiple parts. If you are able to arrange an agreement on the ACX site, while also settling terms with the second party outside of ACX, that is absolutely acceptable. In this case, it would be best to do a Pay-for-Production deal with both parties rather than a Royalty Share deal. This is because we can only split royalties between you and the one narrator/producer; any further split would have to be determined and paid by you. If you decide to proceed with contracts for other narrators outside of ACX, you can always refer to the ACX Independent Contractor Agreements, changing the terms to apply to the additional narrator. You can find these contracts here. What happens if I don’t cast my audiobook within 30 days? If after 30 days you have not made an offer to a producer, your project will be hidden from search and moved to the Title Not Posted tab in your account. All information about your project will be saved in your account, and any auditions you received for these titles can still be accessed through your projects page. This is to keep producers from auditioning for projects that are no longer available. There is no penalty for keeping your title open for audition for 30 days, nor for reposting it once it has been hidden. You can relist your project to receive new auditions by logging into your ACX account and selecting the Post to ACX link on the book's profile. Why do offers for productions made under Royalty Share deals require exclusive ACX distribution? When an ACX producer accepts an offer for a Royalty Share deal, they understand that they will not receive a traditional flat fee upon completion of the project. They will instead receive a portion of the audiobook's royalties for the next 7 years. By requiring that Royalty Share productions be distributed exclusively by ACX, ACX can ensure that producers receive the royalties to which they are entitled.
