How do I change the audio files for a published audiobook or one that has entered the quality assurance review process?

ACX offers a self-service tool to process an audio file update for a live audiobook. For audiobooks created with the collaboration of a producer, both of you will need to complete the following steps:

Rights holder

1. Log in to your ACX account.
2. Select My Projects from the navigation menu.
3. Select the Completed tab, and select the title from your list of projects.
4. Select the three dots next to the title and select Make Changes to My Audiobook. This will place the title back into production.
5. Send a message to the producer in the message center by selecting Request Revision/Request Changes from Producer. Inform them that you need to update the audio files. Be sure to specify which audio files need to be updated. Once you send the message, the files will be unlocked and the project will be put back in your producer's control to make changes.
6. Once you've been notified that changes have been made by your producer, log back into your ACX account and review the new audio files.
7. If satisfied, select Submit Changes for Review to resubmit your title for review to our quality assurance team.

Producer

1. Log in to your ACX account.
2. Select My Projects.
3. Select the In production tab and select the title you want to update.
4. Next to each file, please select the upload icon to upload the new audio files.
5. Select Upload new file.
6. Browse your computer for the new file and upload it.
7. When finished, select Submit for Review to send the audio files back to the rights holder for their additional review and approval.

DIY project steps

1. Log in to your ACX account.
2. After signing in, you will automatically be placed in My Projects.
3. Select the Completed tab. Then, search for your title from your list of projects.
4. Select Make changes to audiobook.
5. Select Make changes in the pop-up window.
6. Select the In Production tab and search for your title.
7. Next to each file, please select the upload icon to upload the new audio files.
8. Select the new audio file, then select Open to upload the file.
9. After confirming that the audio file has been replaced, select Submit Audiobook for Review to send the audiobook to our audio team for review.

Note:

• Changes to the audio files on a live audiobook are subject to the same quality control and processing as new projects. Please ensure the audio files meet the requirements listed in the ACX audio submission requirements.

How do I change or replace an audio file while in production?

To change an audio file while in production, please follow the steps below:

1. Log in to your ACX account.
2. Select My Projects at the top of the site.
3. Select the In Production tab
4. Locate the book and select the name of the title.
5. Locate the section you'd like to replace or change.
6. Select the up arrow next to the section you'd like to replace.
7. Select Upload new file.
8. Select the new audio file from your computer, then select Open to upload the file.
9. You will see Processing Audio in red - when the section closes and the message disappears, your new file will be added to the project.

How do I rearrange the audio files in a project I am producing?

You can reorder sections using the following steps:

1. Log in to your ACX account.
2. Select My Projects at the top of the site.
3. Select the In Production tab
4. Locate the book and select the name of the title.
5. Select the Produce audiobook tab.
6. Select the three dots next to each uploaded section.
7. Select the option to move or edit the file.

Note: You may only rearrange files while the title is still in production, and before you select Submit audiobook for review. Please contact us if you have already submitted your title and need to make a change to the files.

How do I replace the Opening Credits, Closing credits and Retail sample?

You can replace the sections using the following steps:

1. Log in to your ACX account.
2. Select My Projects at the top of the site.
3. Select the In Production tab
4. Locate the book and select the name of the title.
5. Select the Produce audiobook tab.
6. Select the Upload icon next to each respective file and upload the file from your computer.
